Terms of Use
Last updated: April 2026
1. Acceptance
By installing or using Listr (the “Extension”) or the Listr web app at this domain (the “Site”, together the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not install or use the Service.
2. Single purpose
Listr has a single purpose: a local-first browser extension and companion web app for capturing, organizing, and (optionally) sharing personal projects and tasks. All features — right-click capture, spreadsheet (.xlsx) export, PDF export, custom fields, tags, hidden projects, collaboration, AI-assisted organize, the daily view, and the built-in utility apps — support that purpose.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Listr. To purchase a paid plan, you must be 18+ or the age of majority in your jurisdiction. By using the Service you represent that you meet these requirements.
4. Accounts & Google sign-in
Sign-in is via Google OAuth. You are responsible for keeping your Google account secure. Listr never sees your Google password. If you revoke Listr’s access to your Google account, cloud sync and features that depend on Google APIs will stop working; your local data stays intact.
5. Third-party services
Listr relies on third-party services to work: Google (sign-in), Firebase (sync, storage), OpenAI (AI-assisted organize), Razorpay (payments), and Brevo (transactional email). Your use of features that call these services is also subject to their own terms. Listr is not responsible for downtime or data handling by those providers.
6. Your content
Everything you create in Listr — projects, tasks, descriptions, attachments — is yours. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store, transmit, and process it solely to provide the Service to you (and to collaborators you invite). We claim no ownership and make no commercial use of your content.
You are responsible for the content you create, capture, and share. Do not use the Service to store or share content that is unlawful, infringing, defamatory, or abusive. Do not store highly sensitive data (passwords, full financial credentials, medical records, government IDs). Listr is not a secrets manager.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or tamper with the Extension except to the extent permitted by applicable law.
- Probe or attempt to compromise our infrastructure, security rules, or payment flow.
- Use the Service to send spam, harass, or infringe intellectual-property rights.
- Circumvent or attempt to bypass feature gating, usage quotas, or payment requirements.
- Use automated means to create accounts, scrape data, or generate traffic beyond ordinary human use.
8. Plans, billing & refunds
Listr offers three plans: Free, Pro, and Elite. Paid plans are prepaid in Indian Rupees (INR) — you pay once for a monthly or yearly period, and access extends by that period. There is no automatic renewal.
When a paid period ends, a 3-day grace period keeps paid features active so you can renew without interruption. After grace ends, your account reverts to Free. Your data is preserved; only paid features lock.
Payments are processed by Razorpay. Because plans are prepaid and non-recurring, refunds are not generally offered. For mistaken purchases or billing errors, email ferrousdesigner@gmail.com within 7 days of the charge and we’ll work with you in good faith. Refunds, when issued, are at our discretion and processed through Razorpay.
We may change prices for future periods; existing prepaid periods are not affected.
9. AI-assisted features
The “Organize with AI” feature sends the text you submit to our server and onward to OpenAI. AI output is generated automatically and may be inaccurate, biased, or unsuitable for your purpose. Review before relying on it. Don’t submit confidential material you wouldn’t be comfortable sharing with OpenAI. We do not train any machine-learning models on your content or on data received from Google APIs.
10. Privacy & data
Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect and why, including our scope-by-scope use of Google user data and our adherence to the Google API Services User Data Policy’s Limited Use requirements.
11. Service availability
Listr is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, data integrity, or fitness for your specific use case. Always keep independent backups of information you can’t afford to lose.
12. Termination
You may stop using the Service and request deletion of your account any time by emailing ferrousdesigner@gmail.com. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, abuse the infrastructure, or are flagged by payment-processor fraud checks.
13. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Listr and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, or exemplary damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, goodwill, or data, arising from your use of the Service. Our aggregate liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or ₹1,000, whichever is greater.
14. Indemnity
You agree to defend and indemnify Listr and its developers against claims, damages, and expenses arising from content you create in the Service, your misuse of the Service, or your violation of these terms.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. Significant changes affecting existing paid plans will be communicated via email or an in-app banner before taking effect.
16. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka, unless a mandatory consumer-protection law of your jurisdiction requires otherwise.
